CME: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim credit only commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Continuing Education Designated for Non-Physicians: Non-physicians may receive a certificate of participation.
CNE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This activity provides 1.0 contact hours.
To take the courses:
- Go to https://mi.train.org (first time users will be asked to create a login name and password).
- Search for Healthcare Access for Persons with Disabilities (two courses are available: Part I on physical and sensory disabilities, and Part II on developmental disabilities).
- One CEU for each course will be offered for a $15 fee.
- Course requirements for successful completion are 70%.
CEU: The CDC has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102. The CDC is authorized by IACET to offer 0.1 ANSI/IACET CEU's for this program.
